Originally I wanted to get a dress with my mom. She’s paying for it, so she gave me $800 and was/is still giving me more... there’s only 35 days left. And I would’ve love a gown but i got more of a tight off the shoulder and slit on the side dress. She doesn’t know it yet /: I feel bad because I don’t have the money anymore. I already got one... and I didn’t go with her because she was taking forever ! And my wedding is coming faster and we still have to buy a couple decorations. Now I’m scared because she doesn’t like the picture of the dress I sent her, (which is the one I chose and fits!) She wants me to have a princess dress but that’s not my style and she gets mad about it. I’m 5’1 I feel to small for wearing a HUGE dress.

Well, in the end, you already bought it, and there’s not much you (or she) can do about it at this point.. she’s going to find out anyway.

Maybe you can have a ceremony and a separate reception dress? If not, why don’t you still try on dresses with her? That way, you can still have the experience of shopping with your mom, and she still gets the experience of seeing you in a ball gown!

I think you did the right thing. Your wedding is next month and being 4’11” I get having to choose the right style!

Unfortunately for her it’s your day and YOU get to pick your dress.

Hey there!! I'm so sorry that you are feeling like this.

When are you planning on telling yoru mother that you have already bought your dress? I would simply explain to her that time was running out and you found a dress that you love. I'm sure she will understand. It is your wedding and ultimately, you decide what you want to wear.
