Hurricane Dorian + Wedding + Pregnant

Knk2019, on September 5, 2019 at 4:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

Needless to say these last few days have been beyond stressful. I'm starting to get over the shock/sadness of not getting married tomorrow and now just focused on praying for the Carolinas and those effected by the hurricane. Our little beach town was under a mandatory evacuation, but before everyone left our amazing wedding planner was about to get a tentative new wedding date. Unfortunately this new date puts me almost 30 weeks pregnant and now I will no longer be able to wear my wedding dress. Of course I fell in love and went over budget on my dress so I had it altered it as much as possible after I found out I was pregnant. My photographer has graciously offered to drive up and take bridal portraits this Sunday so I'll have at least some pictures in the dress and feel like a bride.
We don't want to wait till after the baby is born to have the wedding, especially bc we waited to do the gender reveal at the reception and we've waited already a long time for the wedding. I guess I'll start looking for a new dress next weekend. Any pregnant bride tips?? Don't want to spend a lot on a another dress and will need something off the rack.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with stress of moving the wedding date while being pregnant. I would suggest looking online, you might be able to find previously worn wedding dresses specifically for pregnant brides at a discount rate. Bridesagainstbreastcancer.com has some beautiful dresses....Good luck to you and stay safe

Hi, I am so sorry that you are going through this. I would check out Tiffany Rose. https://www.tiffanyrose.com/us/maternity/clothes/wedding-dresses.html They have a large variety of maternity wedding dresses. Definitely go for comfort, and wear something you will feel good in. They are made and designed in Britain. Also, wear comfortable shoes on wedding day, like pretty flats. Stay hydrated and eat, take care of yourself on your day!
