How to word postponement notices

Ally, on March 31, 2020 at 10:29 AM Posted in Planning 0 6

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, I am postponing my wedding. I am planning on sending out postponement notices. Does anyone have any ideas how to properly word this? I will include the updated date, time, location and RSVP by date. I have already received about half of my RSVPs. Should I just include a note that if someone already RSVP'd yes/no and needs to change their answer to just text or call me? Our wedding is pretty casual and we're on a budget, so I would prefer not to send out new stamped return envelopes if it doesn't seem necessary.

I saw a couple of stationary websites who are now offering a change the date, I believe it was Ann's Bridal Bargains where I saw them. They were actually pretty cute. You could send those out and then maybe have everyone re-RSVP on a website? You wouldn't have to redo the RSVP envelopes that way. Good luck!

This is what I designed on Greetings Island to mail out. I also made a note on our wedding website that says " Due to COVID-19 and our concern and love for you and your safety, we have decided to postpone our celebration to June 27th, 2020.
Please note the change in venue and time.
We are still doing a very private ceremony on April 25th, and cannot wait to spend the day celebrating with you all in June."We only ever did online RSVPs, so that was lucky in this aspect. I hope this helps. How to word postponement notices 1

Hello Ally! This virus has been a headache! 3 wedding that I was invited to so far have been modified! This is my suggestion to you. Send a group text saying that due to the pandemic you’re focus is the health and safety of your beloved guest and because of that you will postpone the wedding. Let them know the new date and have them call or text to rsvp. Or you can text them your wedding website where they can rsvp there and you can add updates as you go. Hope that works!

This is what I ended up making. I'll be printing them later today. Most of my family members aren't tech savvy, so we didn't bother with a wedding website and I think physical updates will better received than digital.
