How to tell people where their assigned seat is?

FutureMrsB (Aussie Bride!), on August 29, 2012 at 4:19 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

We are doing one big U-shaped table, so there won't be table numbers or anything. How do we tell people where their assigned seat is? We will have a maximum of 65 guests.

Make up a seating chart and have it near the door when they come in, perhaps?

I would section it off maybe in sections. section L - O - V - E and then have a note on the door you are in section _____.

then put name cards at each spot

I agree with doing place cards and place at each place setting. And I also love the idea of difference sections too!

I LOVE how Stacy did her seating chart.

It shows how the tables were in a U-shape.

You could do either escort cards or a seating chart. We are only doing assigned tables, but using escort cards with the guests name and table number on them. We put a little blurb on the back of our programs that said " We have reserved a special seat for you, please locate your place card outside of the banquet room."

Or you could do it like this (doesn't have to be on a chalkboard) but in the shape of your tables, obvs:
