How to Store the dress before the big day

Hello evrybody ,

my friends will marry next year, but she find a very beautiful wedding dress now and cannot wait to buy it for fearing it woudn't be there latter. So now it is a big problem for storing this beautiful dress, she don't want it to be yellow or anthing, then any suggestion tips ? thanks

Where did she buy her dress? I stored mine at the bridal salon where it was purchased.

My bridal salon kept mine after I purchased it for ~6 months until it was time to start alterations. They then delivered it to my house the day before the wedding.

Your friend should be able to store it at the salon until her final fitting.

Since it is so far away, I would also store it at the salon.

I picked up my dress a couple of months ago. It is wrapped in plastic and the garment bag from the shop and hanging on the back side of a door in our guest room.

I am leaving it with my bridesmaid.. her house is the safest for it after final alterations. I would be way to tempted to try it on for the FH.. and I dont want him to see me before the wedding

I also have my dress in my possession several months before our wedding because it was purchased at a sample store. Currently, the dress is being stored in a garment bag at my seamstress' however, the consultant recommended buying a white sheet to wrap the dress in... I think it's supposed to protect the coloring over an extending period of time.
