How to state not having a wedding party on website

Kari, on February 9, 2020 at 3:38 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Hi!

I am having a small intimate wedding where I am not having a wedding party. On my website on Zola I am putting the MOB, MOG, FOB, FOG, and Flower Girl on the page that is now labeled "wedding party" - I'm not sure if I should change that tab to a different name or just leave it? If I leave it, I kind of wanted to explain that we aren't having a BM, MOH, or bridesmaids/groomsman, but I'm not sure how to say it?

The reason we aren't is because we are from Texas and moved to Florida and the wedding is in Florida so everyone is spending a lot of money just to come so I didn't want anyone to have to feel obligated to come because I asked them to be in the wedding, plus all the friends I invited I would want to be up there with me. So we thought it was just easier to not have one!

TIA!

I think it’s fine to leave it titled “wedding party” and won’t need a disclaimer. We don’t have a wedding party so our page just listed the flower girl and ring bearer and no one was confused.

I don't think you need to explain anything to anyone. It's your decision and that's all that matters.

I would just delete the page, no need to have a blank page or explain yourself. It's pretty common nowadays to not have a bridal party or have this information displayed somewhere.

You can just leave it as wedding party and the lack of MOH or bridesmaids will be clear. You don't need to explain it.

Sounds good! I'm always over-thinking things. PS: LOVE your name Smiley winking rarely find people who spell it the same way!

No need to explain. It's your wedding.
