How to reduce redness or Rosey tone skin for my wedding day?!?

Autumn, on November 13, 2018 at 7:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18
Ok ladies this is my dream dress😍
It's flowing and lace two of my favorite things in this world! It also fits me like a glove.... I'm so in love
But.... Yep there is a but! I'm a ginger! So my skin is very red/Rosey a good amount of the time! And I already know I'm gonna have some redness on my day due to nervousness! But is there any way to reduce it!?? Creams or something????? I really don't want my red arms taking away from my dress in my day. In this picture I was super red on my arms and honestly I hate it!!!! Always have 😡
So if anyone knows of anything, help a sister out!!

Hey Autumn! That is such a pretty dress!

I also get really bad redness, mostly on my arms as I have a condition called keratosis pilaris. I moisturize my skin twice a day (once on waking up and once on going to bed), and also use a scrub everyday (but that's for the bumps, not the redness). I'm also planning on using some concealer day of to cover it up, as my dress is spaghetti strapped. Even if people touch my arms throughout the night through hugging, it'll be there in the portraits and ceremony photos, so that's enough for me Smiley smile

I know there is airbrush makeup that covers redness and splotches on face and neck so I'm assuming you can do the same for arms.

Yea I've thought about this option, but with having sleeves do you think it would stain them?

You would probably have to opt for the more expensive stuff that is water proof.. those tend to not transfer as much. Maybe try a trial run with a shirt with sleeves?

I am very pale and I've had issues with redness on my face. I use a toner with witch hazel in it and it has helped with redness. Thayers is the brand and I buy it at target. I haven't tried it on my arms though, but for 10 dollars it might be worth a try!

I recently switched to Vanicream facial cleanser and Lite lotion. I've definitely see a huge difference in my complexion. Neem bar soap is also helpful. Hope this helps! I'd talk with a cosmetics specialist or dermatologist, I bet they've got great ideas. Beautiful dress!!!

For face makeup you can try IT Cosmetics. It works great for redness. I’m not sure on arms though, but honestly with the sleeves it shouldn’t be too noticeable. Also look into tattoo coverup makeup. Again I’m not sure on the transfer or rub off.

Makeup Forever green primer. It is a little pricey, but one tube will last you a long time. You can even wear it alone on non makeup days just to subdue the pink of the face. I had my MUA use it on my wedding day and she loved it so much she got some to add to her professional collection.

    This.

I was going to recommend this primer. Or the Blue one (seems counter-intuitive, but it's a tried and true favorite of mine. It helps even out pale skin tones). You could totally use it anywhere on your body - it will rub in and won't transfer to your clothes.

Hi, I think your make up artist will know what to do. I think they can use certain primers and it will balance out the tones
