How to minimize bust for wedding

Kimberly, on June 28, 2019 at 1:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

Ladies I need your help!

After wedding dress shopping with my mom and sister I found the dress! My measurements were Bust: 37; Waist: 25; Hips: 37, so we ordered the size 10 mainly because of my bust size and the seamstress will take in the waist and make adjustments by adding a few inches of lace applique to the neckline. Great. My concern is what if it's not enough? I really don't want to be displaying the girls at my wedding whatsoever. I'm a 32F. Without ruining the look of the dress and taking into account the back of the dress is sheer with buttons down the back, is there anything more I can do to minimize my bust? Or do I lay it all in the hands of the seamstress? I'm kind of freaking out that I won't get as much coverage as I want. Smiley atonished

They can definitely add more appliques to the front of the dress. Specifically in the sheer V area. They can also add some along the neck line to make it look like it is supposed to be that way.

They will definitely be adding all around the neckline to close it up more and down near the bust area. It's just a little scary to put my faith in the seamstress hands to provide all the coverage.

The seamstress can also put in cups once all the coverage has been applied. That way there is no chance of a wardrobe malfunction.Smiley smile

That dress is gorgeous! Seamstress's are miracle workers, you'll be surprised what she can do! She can put cups in the dress and cover it with more appliques. I'd put my trust in her.

Honestly, I wish I had your problem. I need to find something to make mine look like I have something. I have no advice that others haven’t shared. I’m sure a good seamstress could come up with something.

I’m sure whatever dress you find/found you can boost up your assets with a good bra! Originally I wanted a high neck but it just made me look too top heavy

Ask the shop how much to order extra lace/appliqués from the designer so it’ll be a perfect match. If the shop’s seamstresses are in-house they might have extra fabric that’ll be close enough. They’ll pin the lace first until you approve the coverage. 👍

Thank you so much that’s exactly what we did! We ordered extra lace appliqué and once it’s all in the seamstress will achieve the look we discussed. It’s just crazy that they can transform the look of a dress
