How to list Brother in program?

Hello, I have been silently lurking on these boards for quite awhile, but haven't had any questions to post up until this point. My wedding is May 12, and I am currently working on my programs.

My father is no longer with us, so my brother will be giving me away. I want to list him in the program with the wedding party, but don't know how to do it. I want to draw attention to the fact he is standing in place of my dad? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Smiley smile

    I would put in your programs right where you give the order of events. I would put Processional, song, artist -- Giving the bride away will be ******, brother of the bride, standing in for the late *****, father of the bride.

    Maybe say something along the lines of _________, brother of the bride

    or maybe give him a special thanks for standing in place of your father.

    I have an acknowledgement section of my program where I will be thanking my uncle for giving me away.

    I'm not even sure we are going to do programs... are they really necessary if you aren't having a long church wedding?

    I would just put (name), Brother of the Bride

    No further explanation needed really.

    Shannon its not necessary, im not having a long one either, but they people might wanna read something while they are sitting there... that's what i am doing that for! so they can hold it and read it, etc etc..something to pass a few minutes, plus it helps them understand what comes next. Like, the song...the people walking in and out, the musicians if any, the pastors name, etc. Also a great place to note worthy people, etc!
