How to incoporate our careers into our wedding? (nurse and police officer)

My FH is an officer as well!


I'm doing a few things to incorporate it! Diy champagne glasses, police badge table scatter, bullet casings in mason jars for centerpieces, our donut/cake topper, (yeppp doing donuts instead of cake, but mostly because it's an early brunch wedding. I bought a patch to sew into my dress with his number. Then lastly we are doing a hand fasting so I customized a ribbon with text that says "I love you and I got your 6"

You can do personalized wedding cake toppers that depict a nurse and a police officer.

We're the same over here...nurse and officer! common combo. that and teacher and officer!

Just another small idea...I went to a wedding with two people in law enforcement and part of their favor gift to guests were these cute little handcuff keychains with their names and date on it. That was a nice little touch in my opinion.

I would go with a custom cake topper. They can be very pricey though. My FH and I are very patriotic, so for our cake topper I sculpted it out of clay. I made us two bald eagles and I painted a bow tie on one and glued some tule on one.

We incorporated our shared passions in table numbers and the seating chart. We're huge baseball fans, so we used our favorite players' numbers, and did the seating chart like a lineup.


Could you maybe use numbers that relate to your careers? Or make the seating chart like a police blotter?

Groom's cake, cake topper, seating chart and your shoes/garter could all hold the theme. Simple but there. There is a glass topper that is handcuff wedding rings or etsy has nurse police custom people toppers. Some do the nurse symbol on centerpiece vase or on your seating chart sign. Some do advice slips on your sign-in table - like a medicine tab - advice for the new couple. You could do your wedding favor as water and ibuprofen / Tylenol packs. Blue tea lights instead of white. Or the ringbearer/ flower girl baskets. You could do a police flag guest book?
