How to do a small wedding ceremony

Julie, on April 14, 2020 at 10:48 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 2
We plan to have a small wedding with about 40guests and want to do just a small casual ceremony but I’m at a loss how to plan it. I have two daughters ages 10&12 and at least want the 10yr old to be a flower girl. Other than that we don’t want to do the bridesmaids and groomsmen. We do have a nephew that could be a ring bearer.

Also, the ceremony is outside at an Airbnb 3hrs away from home so we plan to have a family member or friend be the justice of the peace.
The other thing is that there isn’t great seating since the lawn is kind of slanted.
Any ideas and tips are greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Before my reception was cancelled, i found a small restaurant that only fit 50. I loved this idea cause i wasn't planning on inviting any more guest. My wedding was a total of 39 people. The restaurant literally took care of everything. All i had to do is show up. It was wasn't as pricy as i thought it would. Maybe you can do something like that.

Is it possible for your guests to stand for your ceremony? That too could be difficult if on a slope. I would look for a semi-flat area.

We’re having a very intimate wedding at an Airbnb too!The property at our Airbnb is quite flat so we are renting chairs for the ceremony. It’s going to be quite minimalist with just a small altar. We have a musician to play the processional music and then afterwards we’re going to a cafe for dinner/reception. We’re foregoing formalities of a traditional bridal party. So logistically chair & table rentals, flowers, musician & officiant. The beauty of the Airbnb is that we can host our parents and get ready there.
