How to carry my wedding shoes on the beach?

Simo, on March 25, 2022 at 12:07 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 7

Pre-pandemic I bought the wedding shoes, a pair of blue heels. After pandemic (and 2 years) the wedding plans are changed, and we are opting for a wedding on the beach.

I would like to still worn my blue heels for the wedding, because I believe they are my something blue, but no way i am walking with them in the sand.

Do you have some suggestion for me? I was thinking taking them with me in my hands, buuut afraid that it will be frustrating. Notice: is an elopements, so nobody can carry my shoes as I walking down the sand.

We're also getting married on the beach! I have my blue shoes for our pictures at the hotel, but then I'm actually changing into some Teva sandals for the actual ceremony (I also didn't want to walk in heels in the sand).

You could always get a cute tote bag that fits your heels. At least that would have handles! You could even get one that says "bride" or "Mrs. [your new name]" so it's kind of prop. Then you can set the bag down during the ceremony or some couple's photos but it's easy enough for you, FH, or even your photographer/officiant to grab!

Hi Samantha!!! Aawwww so much in common! I never went to a beach wedding, so I don't know if somebody is there for me to keep my bag. But yes the tote is a good tip, just in case I want to change my heels. Sandals are a must, I bet the sand is buuurning!

Thank you so much! Your reply really helped my choice. In the end I think I will treat the heels as a wedding shoes EVEN IF they are not allowed to the ceremony (they are in satin, lol).

I can still wear them in the preparation and afterwords, and nobody will knowSmiley laugh

Now I am worried because maybe I have to shorten the dress ahahahah!

That's where I'm at too 😅😅 I'm getting my dress hemmed to the platform sandals and just accepting it'll be an inch or two too short in a few pictures!

Maybe you can use some heeled (but confortable for the sand) sandals? I am getting white Converse (they are very photogenic on the beach, lol) and I am thinking to search an pair with little bit of heels, so the difference is not that much!

Could you walk down the aisle barefoot and have your groom hold them for you and place them on your feet when your processional ends? It would be almost Cinderella like.
