How often should you get a facial?

CareBear, on January 20, 2016 at 4:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

I wanted to start getting facials so that my skin is perfect by my wedding. I dont have bad ache or anything like that. I just want to look glowing and I think that starts with really amazing skin.

The last thing I want to do is overdue it and end up with red blotchy skin for my wedding day. Of course that can all be covered with make-up but I think I would still be nervous about it.

With your wedding being so close and it being your first time, I would go right away or not at all. If you don't know how your skin will react to a facial, you don't want to do it right before your wedding. That's just my experience, I'm not a skin expert. Sometimes facials will have me break out a little bit after I get one .

To be honest I never wash my face with soap, just water. I moisturize with coconut oil and thats it. I have never had bad skin.

I only wear make-up for events or when I go out. Then I use Rimmel Waterproof Make-up Remover.

It sounds like you already have good skin. I would recommend upping the water intake and stay out of the sun without any sunscreen.

I love getting facials! Not to be gross, but I love the extraction part of it lol. If you're going to go, I agree, you should go ASAP. And look for someone that does extractions, and if you're able to splurge a bit, microdermabrasion.

I just had a facial a couple weeks ago to make sure I didn't have any adverse reaction to the products. They said for a basic facial do it the week before so you have time to heal just in case. Or they offered an oxygenating facial (i think) that i could do the day before.

But I suggest going ASAP to make sure you don't have issues with the product, and then talk to the person doing your service, they'll be able to give you the best advice.

I do it myself. I use my clarisonic almost every day, a mini facial about once a week, and a more complete job maybe once a month.

Just go to a very reputable place and work with someone who knows their stuff. Personally, I believe the more natural the products the better.

I love natural products. That is why I just mostly use the coconut oil when I need some moisture.

So... I am an Esthetician, and I recommend trying a facial first to see how your skin reacts to products. But your Esthetician should talk to you about allergies or possible sensitivites.... I personally, if you have no reactions and such, would recommend going once a week. Once every two weeks would even be an option.

The person doing your facials should be able to consult with you about frequency. It also depends on the type of facial. I had facials 1x per month for 3 months before my wedding.
