How much to budget for invitations?

I am having around 80 people at my wedding. about 7 of them I live with, and that count includes kids. So I probably only looking at around at most 40 invites. How much is average to spend on them? Like say if your ordering them from vistaprint?

I bought a living social deal but googled groupon vista print and clicked on the link because everything is an extra 50% off. I then went to vista print and ordered, STD magnets (30), I also did envelop seals, address labels, response cards, reception cards, business cards invitations and matching invites all for about $40 and that included 7 day shipping. The most expensive was the matching envelops which were $22 after.

Andrene....Buddy, I loved your proofs!! They are perfect and simply elegant!! Smiley winking

As for me....I bought DIY printers from Michaels with a coupon. I paid $25 for the invites; $15 to get them copied at Staples; abot $10 for the Welcome Dinner invites. That totals $1.00 per guest. Bargain! However, I can't wait to buy Vera for my daughter's wedding.

I also enjoy Vistaprint. I had custom cards made for our Welcome Bags. I think I paid $30 for 40. It saves my carpel tunnel hands big time.

I also have to put in a plug for http://www.zazzle.com/orangeostrichdesigns. She did my Rehearsal Dinner products and they are beyond beautiful. I got invites, RSVP cards, postage stamps, labels for my mint tins, and place cards. Once I have finalized the menu I will also get my meu cards from her.

Thought I was going to go the vista print route until I started looking on Etsy.. Too late, fell for Big Day designs, they average around 2.75 an invite but that includes the reception and rsvp card and envelope.

ANdrene....I am so envious. Gorgeous!! Because we added a Mexican honeymoon, I had to omit my bride and groom riding a bike stamp.
