How much time to take off work?

I'm required to take 2 consecutive weeks of vacation for work, so I'll be taking 2 weeks after the wedding & 2-3 days before our Saturday wedding.

My wedding is on a Saturday and I have the Friday before the wedding off and the whole next week off, since I will be on my honeymoon.

For our Sunday wedding I am taking Friday off (always have Saturday off) then a week and 2 days off for the honeymoon so almost 2 weeks

I'm taking the week off since family will be in town. Tuesday to Tuesday. I'm sure I'll be worthless at work the Monday beforehand though.

I was planning to take Friday off. My wedding is on Saturday. Not sure I need more than that tbh.

This is a great question. We have an all inclusive package for our Friday wedding. We just have to drop off any decor to the coordinator during the rehearsal on Thursday. We are thinking we will get there early Wednesday to get our marriage license (Orleans parish officiant can waive the 72hr waiting period.) I wonder if we shouldn't plan to go on Tuesday, though...

Wedding is a DW in FL. I have found extra time that I have to use before the end of the year. I will be taking off Tuesday through the following Friday. My wedding is on a Friday and we are going to Sandals Ochi after. Worth it.

A day and a half before the wedding and the following week for the honeymoon.

We are taking a 2 week honeymoon (leaving on a Sunday, back on a Sunday). For our Friday wedding I will be taking off Wednesday-Friday. I'd take more but I'm using most of my vacation already for the honeymoon

I took Friday off for my Sunday wedding. I also took Monday and Tuesday after the wedding off. I took almost a month off (paid) for the honeymoon so I didn't want to push it too much for the wedding.

I wasn't stressed at all before the wedding so only taking Friday off was perfect for me.

I took only the Friday before the wedding off. I had Monday through Thursday off after the wedding.

Looking back, I wish I would have taken Thursday prior to the wedding off too. It was not really last minute planning, but more so just organizing and picking up food items for the rehearsal dinner.

I had Wed-Fri off for my Saturday wedding and that worked out well, though more time off would have been nice.

I haven't requested off for my Sunday wedding but I might try to take Friday off depending how I feel. Will probably talk to my supervisor a week before

I took off Thursday and Friday for my Sunday wedding, and we both took of the whole next week for our honeymoon. H didn't get scheduled for Thursday or Friday before the wedding, so we both had that time off. I had a ton of last minute wedding stuff, so I honestly could have used more time, but I had to take unpaid time off because it's a new job, so it's probably best that I didn't.

At this time, I'm planning on taking the Thursday-Friday prior to our Saturday wedding, and the Monday (holiday) after, and perhaps Tuesday, depending on how many OOT guests are staying that long. We go on our honeymoon cruise the following Sunday morning (the week after the wedding, not the next day) so we'll take off M-F that week, and the Monday after we get back from the honeymoon. We're both VERY fortunate, we both earn 5 weeks/year, so we're taking more than we would if we didn't earn as much.

I'm planning on taking the Thursday and Friday off before the wedding and then the week after for the honeymoon. I'm hoping that's enough time!
