Hi guys , I was curious how much did you guys spend on your wedding all total?

I know it's a weird question, but I need help.

Since mother in law threatened us she won't come to our wedding, she said the only way she will be there is if we do the wedding here in New York

Our plan was to do our wedding in Armenia, but mother in law isn't happy about that so we decided to do it here in New York. Smiley sad

If you're doing it a year and less you'll get a better deal I'll tell you that

I booked my venue less than a year not by a lot and I saved

    I'm in NYC area

But remember NYC area is expensive

You really gotta go to places and see what they include

It's a catering company so they know what they're doing. And they obviously gave me a discount

I think it depends on where in NY you are... the closet to Manhattan you get, the more expensive it is. My budget is set at a strong 20K. I've been looking in the upper Hudson areas.

DC/VA for about 65ppl. Somewhere around 10k and counting. We didn't have a budget but we had a ball park figure. I must mention the bulk of our money went towards the venue, food and drinks.

    Everything else was rather inexpensive.

@Kayla - 2d got married in 2009, you don't need to worry about her. I also believe it was a very small ceremony.

Thanks! I didn't notice that. I kept checking back. Even in 2009 that sounds impossible. The average cost for a wedding in Boston is 40-50 thousand dollars

Kayla, not everyone falls within the "average". She could have had 20 people, not 150. There's also plenty of room for variation such as a lunch/brunch rather than dinner. I am quite certain that 2d hosted her guests very well.

I'm at $45k for 175 people. That's without dress, rings, or honeymoon. That's just the "basics". Northern CA is expensive.
