How much did you spend on your wedding band?

pittielvr, on October 4, 2013 at 4:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 27

The matching band for my ring is 1200. However i just went to a local goldsmith, who would handmake a matching band, their estimate was 2200. I reall like the idea if a unique hand made band, but thats a lot of extra money.

About $1200.00. 15 small round diamonds set in a white gold band. My birthday is on the 15th so there is meaning behind it.

I happened to find one that curved around my e-ring perfectly. Looks like they were made as a set. Cost around $1100.

Mine cost more than I wanted to spend... But FH loved it so much and how it fit with the engagement ring he picked out. It was about $1,000.

Mine was a set, and total for both rings was about $1500 without tax. Spend what you are comfortable with.

$250. Silly man spent way too much on my engagement ring, I'm not shiny enough for any more bling.

I fell in love with one that was 2600 - I have allergies though so it has to be platinum :/ Otherwise it would only have been 1500

I LOVE it though. We are currently saving so that we can hopefully purchase it before the wedding and if not - I have a $200 one that I can wear until we can afford the ring of my dreams Smiley smile

    E-Ring was $1299 (w/ appraisal)

Band was custommade (3 stone, low sitting, white gold) - $750

All diamonds were heirlooms - i just had them reset

    $25!!! They are tungsten bands.

If both bands match your engagement ring, what's the point of buying the more expensive one?

NotFroofy inherited the one I wear from her grandmother. I paid $155 for the one I gave her. But ours are plain gold bands (albeit 22 karat gold), with no diamonds.

$10, including shipping, for a sterling silver band. It's just a placeholder, but I actually like it. I'll keep it for as long as it lasts.

The more expensive one would be slightly different. My setting has openings in the sides of the band.. Think like fancy tunnels going through it. I really like it as its very pretty and unique (there are pave set stones around the openings) but its not the most functional idea as i get crap in them and am always cleaning it. The goldsmith band would have the millgrain and channel set stones, but the setting would lack thr tunnels.

OP I know what you're talking about with the tunnels. My ring kinda has scaffolding (don't know how to describe it) so lotion gets stuck in there. I always wipe my ring finger off before I put my ring on.

My band was pricey even after we got a deal.

Just picked up my band today, $600. Nothing but a tiny piece of palladium.
