Mrs. Jacques I'm also in NH and was wondering if you'd mind sharing who you're using...that's a great deal!

Wow and I thought DC was expensive. The very limited research I've done on DJs in this area ranges anywhere between $500-over $1000 but most of the ones with like 5-6 hour packages (that I saw) average about $650 to $750. I would never spend that much for only 5 hours...just my opinion.

    $550 for 5 hours, but that's discounted because it's a Thursday.

Im in NJ and everyone I found was over $1500 for 5 hours. A lot of them did not include ceremony music. I finally found a DJ that I thought was really good for $895. I actually had to crash a wedding to see how he interacted with the crowd and the music in general. Definitely suggest doing this! I have never had a DJ tell me to come check them out at an event until this DJ, but if you find one that does definitely take them up on the offer. No one even knew I was there I pretty much stayed in the hallway and kept peeking in the door.

You can find a DJ for whatever price you want to pay... The important thing to consider is... what are you going to get for that amount?

Give me a number, and I'll tell you what you get for that. Sure you can find a DJ who charges $350 or $1350 for 5 hours, but that doesn't mean a thing. What else is included?

Here in Northern Minnesota, here's what $1595 will get you, and I tossed in the video for free. Hope this gives you a perspective of what DJs do:
