How much did you drink at your own wedding?

FH and I both take full advantage of the open bar at every wedding we've been to in the past. I mentioned to him recently that we obviously don't want to drink too much at our own wedding. I want to be able to remember it at the very least! So just curious, how did this go for everyone?

We drank mimosas while we got ready, and as soon as the ceremony was over I was handed a ruby red and soda. I had a glass of wine with dinner, and then didn't drink any more until after all of the dances/important pictures were done. Then I drank a lot, we were just dancing so much and I was thirsty! I remember the whole reception, but I was a little drunk.

I am not planning on drinking much, if anything. Probably a glass of sangria and maybe a hard cider, FH will probably have a hard cider. We want to be fully present and remember the whole night and not wake up the next morning feeling like shit.

If I was a classier drunk, I'd probably drink more, but I'm a lightweight and get trashy real quick when I'm drunk lol don't want to do that at my wedding.

I had one drink before the wedding, one drink at dinner, and one at the after party.

Probably one during the 15 I placed in the schedule for no one to bother us and allow us to actually eat. I think otherwise between dancing, taking pictures with guests, thanking guests, and getting pulled this way and that way I will probably only get that one drink.

I only was able to have about two glasses of wine and one glass of champagne during the reception. I had two peach Bellinis in the morning while getting ready also. I wanted to drink more, but I kept going to talk to people and dance and all that other fun stuff, so it just fell by the wayside. We definitely made up for our lack of drinking at the wedding during the honeymoon though.

I had a glass of wine and half a beer. I'm not a big drinker, but honestly the main reason was that I was always busy and neve had a chance to go back to the bar.

DH, on the other hand, must have had about 8 to 10 drinks between when he got to the venue (4 pm) and when they closed the bar (1 am).

I didn't drink anything the morning of because I didn't want to bloat. I did intend on having a mimosa but was getting my hair done when the champagne was popped and my BM's downed it before I even got to it. Haha.

I wanted to fully enjoy my wedding, which to me, meant wine and alcohol. I had a total blast dancing all night. I must've browned a little at the end because someone told me that I ran up to DH and was like, "Let's get married everyday!!!" This occurred near the end of the dancing though, so I didn't miss anything important. I also remember the very last song we danced to so I wasn't completely gone. Even though I drank quite a bit I still had the best night of my life.

Well if my shower and bach party are any indication of the wedding I will have a constant buzz but never drink. The plan is mimosas while getting ready along with water. The reception I will be drinking hard cider and strip and go nakeds.

Just one mimosa getting ready, 2 vodka cranberries at dinner and a glass of wine. And I did a shot of Patron with Amanda S. So in total all day: 4. The problem with picking out all of your song requests for you DJ is that you end up loving every song and spending the entire night on the dance floor instead of at the bar Smiley smile

I had one or two sips of a mixed drink during cocktail hour, one sip of champagne for the toast and maybe one sip of another mixed drink at dinner (the waitstaff had remembered what DH and I had during cocktail hour and placed the same at our place settings before the reception started). Like everyone else has said I (and DH) just didn't have time to drink. (I know that DH had about the same amount to drink as I did).

Not much at all. We constantly had drinks being handed to us from guests and servers but we were getting pulled in so many different directions that I would take two sips and then leave it somewhere and someone would hand me a new one. I also drank a lot of water in between. No one wants to be so drunk they don't remember their own wedding.

This was a major concern of mine. I had half a glass of champagne while getting ready, and a glass of wine right before the ceremony (I was very nervous) and throughout the night, people kept bringing me drinks, but I don't remember finishing them. I drank a ton at the after party also and riding on such an adrenaline high, I never felt drunk.

1, maybe 2 drinks? I had no desire to be drunk at my wedding. I drank a lot of water and iced tea.

I'm super worried about drinking too much. I was recently at a wedding of a close friend and got way too drunk, so I'm worried the same thing will happen.

I'm not really a drinker (because I get pretty obnoxious when I do drink) so I plan to have very little if any drinks at my wedding. Probably just the champagne toast and maybe some wine.
