I gave myself some wiggle room but I am supposed to give the caterer the final count TODAY. There are only a few people left who haven't gotten back to me, but I've already reached out to them at least once or twice.

One girl in particular (just for giggles)...I texted, no response, then FB messaged her. Her response, "when is it?" Without getting angry and telling her to look on the $9 invitation I mailed her, I told her the date. Her response, "I'll let you know soon." That was a week ago, still nothing. Keep in mind this woman is planning her own wedding, so I figured she would know that it doesn't really work like that.

So, at what point do you stop trying and just take it is as a no? I know that I should say, "a maybe is a no," but that just seems so HARSH! Is there a nicer way to say that?

Why would you continuously have to ask??? After the first time, that was it for me. It's a "No"...and keep it moving!

I would say once. I'm going to take care of my side and have my FMIL call her family. 3/4 of the guest list are her brothers & sisters so I figured that's fair.
