So I went wedding dress shopping for the first time Saturday, and when I put the 3rd dress on I got “the feels”. My MOH and consultant didn’t even want me to try on anymore bc they said that that one was the one, and I agree! But I still went home to think it over. Could I have possibly found “the one” on the 3rd dress tried on ? How many dresses did you try on before you found the one ?
I tried on around 10 dresses but I chose a beaded version of the first dress. I loved the first dress but I felt like it was missing something so my consultant brought in the same dress but with beading and sparkles- perfect!
The first time i went was back in February. The first dress I tried on was the one the consultant asked me if I wanted to try on with a veil I said yes and I started to cry I knew I made the right decision.
I tried on 5 dresses out of the 7 that we pulled. 5th dress had everything that I invisioned all in one dress so I didn't even both to try on the last 2
I found mine on dress #3. I also tried on 3 others just because, including one that I had been dreaming over. The one I didn't really want when i saw it on the rack was the dress for me! I was given the advice to not judge a dress on the rack and wait until you tried it on.. or worked! It even has pockets!!!! I can't wake until next April!
I tried on 8 different dresses and I knew I found the one on dress #3 but I still wanted to see if their were other options. I found none and I just loved the 3rd dress that I did end up buying. So it is possible to know, when you know.
I had three bridal appointments. The first one was a complete bust. I tried on about 5 to 7 dresses.. none of them were in the style I wanted. I told the consultant this was my first time trying on dresses and that I wasn't sure what I wanted. I had pics of all ballgown dresses, but when I saw them on me, I didn't like the style. I kept asking to see a different style, but I guess they didn't have any other styles in my size because they didn't want to show me anymore dresses. Whatevs. their loss. Went to the second place. It was a much better appt. It was a small mom/pop out of the person's home. I tried on about 3 or 4 dresses. I thought I found the dress I wanted, but it didn't fit. After making an appt with the seamstress, she told me I should lose weight. So, I decided against it. Anyway, I went to another store a week later. My consultant was absolute genius. We picked out alot of dresses on the floor, but she told me I think you'll like this one best based on what you are telling me, and what you are picking.. try this one on first. So, I did, and she was right! It was perfect. I even tried on the other dresses just to make sure, and nope.. a few I would have even considered more pretty or fancy than my dress, but as soon as I had them on, I knew they weren't "my" dress. Thank you to Truely Forever Bridal, and Allyson for their help!
I went to three shops and tried multiple dresses at each one. At the third shop I got the dress. When I went home, there was something that made me keep looking at the pictures and I just kept thinking, “is this really it?” I found a dress online and loved it. I tried it on, but it wasn’t the same on as in the pictures I had seen. I did really like another dress that I tried on and now I’m debating between the two. The first one is final sale, so if I decide on the second dress, I will sell the first. Neither dresses made me feel like it was “the one.” Now, I’m still confused and debating between the two or to keep looking.
My FIRST time going dress shopping i tries on 8 dresses, only liked 3 and ended up going home with the second dress i had tried on. I am in love with it!!! It has all the details i wanted in my dress so thats why i bought it. I think the more you try on and look at, the harder and more confusing it will be to decide on one. Just remember....they are all beautiful and unique!
