How many SAVE the DATES?

OE, on October 14, 2014 at 11:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I am estimating around 350 people to be invited. How many Save the Dates would you recommend me buying?!

We wrote out our guest list before buying so that we didn't overbuy! I would do that first and see if there are people in the same household that you could just send one STD to.

We did the same thing to determine how many to buy- wrote out a guest list, counted number of discrete addresses, then added a bit to make sure we had some extras for ourselves, photos, keepsakes and last minute additions.

I would figure out how many households are in your 350 guest list. are most just couples or families? i wouldnt think you would need anymore than 175 and less if there are a lot of families.

If your only options are 100 or 200 then you will almost definitely need 200. We need 126 for our current guest list of 214.

Yeah you need 200 unless your guest list is all families that have a lot of kids in it. Do you know for sure you are inviting all 350 people to the wedding or are some on a "wait list"?

Figure 1 save the date (same as 1 invitation) per family (which could mean per couple or per person).
