How many registries is too many?

I've registered at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond. I also did Crate & Barrel online.. We don't have one within hours of us, but a lot of FS's family likes to do their shopping online, and a lot of my OOT guests live near one. Future RSK- I'm not sure. I registered IN the store at Target, and then synced it to myregistry.com and half the things are listed, but there aren't any pictures or anything :/

@Future RSK - I'm pretty sure the only way it works is if you have the app on an iPhone that can scan the items.

If you have a lot you can just put 2 registries in with each invitation. It makes it look like your not asking for a million things, but still giving them an option.

I shopped around, if it was cheaper at one place i put it on that registry ... i dont want people spending a lot of money on us.

I am putting Bed Bath and Beyond in all of them cause i have the most on that one then rotating the 2nd one ... Kohl's/Macy/Target

Honestly for me getting gifts, the more registries someone has the less likely I am to get them something from it. A whole bunch of registries to me looks like the person can't make a decision.

Hence I did the all encompassing amazon one. One spot to look and guests can purchase something from there but mark it as "i bought it somewhere else" and the registry ticks it off, so it doesn't even lock the person into buying from that vendor.

We're going to use myregistry.com also because you can combine so many into one. a lot of my friends have used it and they all say how simple it makes everything

Macy's is good to do because they send you a gift card worth 5% of the gifts bought for you.

we got our gift card and i used it pretty quickly. Smiley smile

I only have one, but probably way too many things on it. Amazon has a "Universal Registry" button you can use to add items from any website. I'm using it to stick stuff in there from ZGallerie, which I just adore.

I was told when we were registering that you should register for 2xs the amount of guests you are inviting. By this standard, we should register for 300 or so gifts, we have 3 registries right now, and a little under 200 gifts... However, there is no way I'm going to be able to add many more items... I think if you need more, maybe adding a 4th wouldn't be too bad, but I cetainly worry about having too much also.

BEWARE: Myregistry.com does not display items that are only available in store. I registered at pottery barn for my entire dishes collection, and when I upload the pottery barn registry to myregistry.com, some of the items disappeared because they are only available in the Pottery Barn Store. Just FYI!
