I think 2 is good. I'd side-eye three.

Also, is it tacky to put furniture like a coffee table on your registry? We really need one but I don't want to put it on if it's tacky

You COULD put furniture on it, but you might not get it. One good thing about putting it on, though, is you might be able to get a discount that sometimes comes after the wedding (in trying to get you to complete your registry).

I think 3 is overkill to be honest. But if you are happy with your registries go for it!

I have 1, I really didn't want a registry I feel so awkward to ask for anything but my mom and bridesmaids insisted on it. I agree with your mom though 3 is max.

You could combine some of your registries into a universal registry such as myregistry.com. That would allow you to add more items from other stores while still just listing a single registry. I made a Macy's registry for the guests who would rather not shop on the internet and another one at myregistry for everything else.

We did 2. FH and I already live together and didn't need a lot. Doing 2 was difficult. Most of what we registered for are upgrades or just things that we wanted (not necessarily needed)

I've always been told 2-3 stores was acceptable.

I think furniture is going a bit too far for a gift registry.

I just registered at 2 places (target and Belk) but I'm having a pretty small wedding. Also, FHs family lives in a very small town and the closest place to them to go shopping is Belk.

Thanks for all your opinions and advice. My wedding is a big wedding. About a 200 person invite list. Just my side of the family is 65 people.

I registered at 2. I would say definitely don't register at more than 3 places. It will be more work for you to try to manage that many registries anyways.

I only did one. I think 2 is fairly common. I would question three, but may understand if the stores all had a different purpose (like hardware and tools, vs kitchen and bath stuff).
