How Many People Came/Were Invited To Your Bridal Shower

My MOH and her mother asked me for names to invite to my bridal shower. I don't want to burden them with a long list, and I really prefer something small and intimate. I was wondering how many people usually attend a bridal shower.

How many people came to or did/will you invite to your bridal shower?

I have a small family and half live out of state. I will ask to invite all the women from my family that are local (3), my BMs (4), close friends (3), my mom's friends who are coming to the wedding (2), and then will ask if my FI's family wants to join us (though they live across the country, I doubt they will come). So to me, it will be intimate and have 11 people there, not including me.

I've been told the anticipate 20-30% of guests (no matter how close you are to them) invited to the shower (and wedding) will not show. I've invited 55 to my shower. I've already got 10 RSVP regrets.

We're inviting 61 to the shower my mom is throwing for my side. That includes me, my mom, my BMs and a bunch of kids though. I expect to get at least 30-40 people.

I had about 8. I live in CO and the wedding and family are in AZ with a bunch of friends coming for other states to the wedding. So it was a very small shower here in CO
