How Many Mixers?

Sarah, on January 14, 2018 at 7:48 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15
We are supplying all of our own liquor and mixers for our wedding but we’re having a hard time coming up with the right numbers for mixers? We’re planning on cola, diet cola, ginger ale, sprite, tonic, and cranberry juice. Any ideas and recommendations are welcome! Oh, and we’ll be having 230 guests Smiley smile

Maybe OJ (screwdrivers) and pineapple juice (for tropical drinks) sour mix, and plain soda water.

Ask the bartending service that you've hired for your wedding.

That is what i am going off of & then buying a little extra to be safe because we are not having a bartending company. Everyone is making their own

Byob venues are common they require a tabc bartender and security just like normal. Don't forget grenadine or blue Curacao ... mostly depends on what your friends and family like to drink

There are many venues that allow you to bring in your own alcohol! My venue for example just said you cant have anyone pay or tip if we do it this style because that would be illegal

Always round up and think big, leftovers are good, not having enough is bad.

    Here's what I'm thinking:

2 sodas per guest per 2 hours is my recommendation. 1 bottle of liquor for every 2 guests.

    230 guests x 1soda/hr = 230 sodas per hour. (4 hour reception = 920 sodas)

    230 guests x 1/2 alcohol/guest = 115 bottles of liquor (beer doesn't count for this that's different math)

Hopefully these numbers help. I know there's a lot on Pinterest that has better and probably more accurate math on how much alcohol and mixers you need per person.

    I agree with edecker.

also, hire a licensed bartender. I am supplying my own alcohol as well but I have hired a bartender to serve. many people do not know proper pour, so you run the risk of people wasting your liquor and more importantly over serving themselves. it can also get messy having serve yourself.

I am not sure where you are located, but most liquor stores allows you to bring back unopened items Smiley smile we plan on doing that for our wedding, over buying and taken things back that we dont use!
