We're not doing getting ready pics, but I am doing about an hour of pre-ceremony pics with the bridesmaids and my family, then the ceremony and about an hour of photos after, and then about 4 hours of reception coverage.

We found an amazing photography couple that focuses on all day coverage. We are having them both as shooters and I am so excited for them to be there to capture everything.

2 photographers for 9 hours, still deciding on if we want to add an hour. I don't need a ton of getting ready photos as we have no bridal party, but I also know dancing looks the same by the end of the night.

I did 10 hours so I could include the last bits of "getting ready" and they wouldn't need to stay for the final hour of the reception since there won't be many people left at that point probably anyhow. Plus, the "extra" hours if you change your mind the day of are typically more than if you just booked them in advance.

We booked 6. Our photoghraper is confident this is enough time (our locations are super close) but I'm not convinced. 😂 we have the option to add hours as we go (up to 3) if we want her to stay so that definitely makes me feel at ease. We have our 'timeline' meeting about 30 days before so that will give me a much better idea of if we need more coverage!

I like that you could make the hours of coverage different for the second shooter - that's really cool!

Our photographer showed up at the very end of getting our hair and makeup done to cover getting ready and details pictures, and they left about an hour into dancing during the reception! That way they covered pictures of our special dances, toasts, and cake cutting and got some dance floor pictures - then they were done!

We did six hours, two shooters- we had one venue so no lost travel time, and the hotel where we got ready was a 5 minute drive from the venue. Everything fit really comfortably into the timeline, and we actually ran ahead of schedule most of the day. We had 4 WP members each, and did family pictures with just our immediate families, which are relatively small (4-6 people). Here's how we split the time up:

2-2:30- Girls getting ready (details/getting dressed- HMUAs were gone by about noon)

    2:30-3: Guys getting ready

    3-3:30- Me and BM/family

    3:30-4- H and GM/family

    4-4:30- first look

    4:30-5- venue/details

    5-5:30- ceremony

5:30-6:30- full wedding party/family pictures, more H and I pictures (cocktail hour)

6:30-8- dinner, first dance, cake cutting, speeches, dancing

We also had a videographer who did coverage from about 10-8. The reception went until 10:30, but we didn't feel the need to pay $300/hour for coverage of people drunkenly dancing/talking. For those moments, cell phone pictures were fine with us.

    I believe we're doing 8 hours?

He's going to be taking getting ready pics, first look pics, and then ceremony and reception.

That's not firm though, after the important parts of the reception and getting some cool sunset lighting pics, he'll be free to go. He has a newborn baby at home!

Eight hours, two shooters. Thought about getting 10 hours but our photographers said not to — wasn’t worth the extra cost.

We booked 7 hours, with 2 shooters. We have our venue for 6 hours, and we're including the ceremony in that time since it will be short and sweet. So 7 hours will give us a couple hours pre ceremony for getting ready and most of the reception. I don't see the need for them to stay until the end, I'm hoping we'll get all the great shots early on!

We did three hours of photography--the end of getting ready, the ceremony, and some formals after the ceremony. The reception was a luncheon, and we didn't feel the need for professional photos of people eating.

Photographer and videographer package from 2 to 10 so they got to the venue when we got there at 2 and left around 10.

We're starting out with 4 but I think we're going to end up adding more hours.

We hired a photographer to do group photos before the wedding, ceremony photos, family and couple photos before the reception, and first dance. We don't need a bunch of photos of dancing or guests since they'll all be able to upload their own pictures to an album after the wedding. Smiley smile

All day with two shooters. I'm not really sure of the timeline we are planning and I wanted to book photographer early.
