Hey hey everyone,

I am wondering how many hours everyone hired their photographers for your wedding? Our venue is all inclusive with the standard of 5 hours for our photographer but I am a little worried it may not be enough time. I also have a videographer for 5 hours as well so I am feeling it may be enough but having a bit of doubt.

Thanks Smiley smile

9 hours with the option to tack on more hours if we feel the need to that day.

Contract is for 8; I'll probably add a couple more on to it.

Ours is 12 hours. If we add a second photographer, he will only be for 5 hours.

We have 1 photographer for 10 hours and a 2nd one for 6 hours.

Our 2 videographers are there from when we start getting ready to the last formal event.

What everyone else does isn't relevant to your event. I've done from 5 hours to 9 hours, to even 3 day South Asian weddings. It depends on the timeline and structure of your event, if you are getting pre wedding photos, etc. 5 hours can work for some, not for others. What is your event structure?

5 hours is not enough if you want them to take any pictures before your ceremony. Our photographer was for 8 hours.

Our photog is for 8 hours. She comes in about an hour early and takes detail pictures and scopes things out on her own time. I'm kind of wishing that we would have went with 10 hours - but the budget didn't quite allow that.

I'm wanting some "getting ready" pics, but if I want her to stay for the cake cutting, first dances, and some of the reception - I may not have many, if any, getting ready pics. Just have to decide what's most important to us Smiley smile

Kayla when does it start and end and are you doing a first look? our ceremony starts at 6 and our photographer will get just a few shots with the girls beforehand. we will have her from 4 30 to 9 30 so 5 hours just like you. however we can decide whether to extend her by the half hour so we may keep her until 10 30.

6-8 hours is standard. IMO 8 hours is plenty of time with 2 photographs, minimal gaps, and driving kept to a minimum and have tail end of bridal prep covered through first dance.

5 hours would typically cover formals, ceremony, and time for Bride and Groom romantic images. Perfect for couples who want the major elements professionally covered.
