Hey hey everyone,

I am wondering how many hours everyone hired their photographers for your wedding? Our venue is all inclusive with the standard of 5 hours for our photographer but I am a little worried it may not be enough time. I also have a videographer for 5 hours as well so I am feeling it may be enough but having a bit of doubt.

Thanks Smiley smile

Two shooters, 7 hours. The only parts we will miss are hair and makeup and I'm ok with that. We'll get some touch up hair and makeup photos just before our first look and as we get dressed. It's good enough for me. And they will be around until our sparkler send off.

We did 8 hours with 2 shooters

ETA: Our photographer suggested a timeline we liked based on the kind of photos we wanted. For example, she said she could get a good variety of dancing pictures in the first 45 minutes to an hour so why pay for extra coverage on that end of the day.

FH and I have booked for 7 hours but we want to bump it up to 8 hours if we can.

Are you doing any getting ready photos or a first look? If so, 5 hours will be tough. Even if you aren't doing a first look, I think it's best to take *some* of the photos before cocktail hour (e.g. you and your SO with your BP (but not each other), you with your family, SO and family, etc) so you'll want the photographer to get there a bit before the ceremony. You can have the photographer leave a bit after the cake cutting to save some time (the same people will be on the dance floor and things get a lot less photogenic). Even so, that would be a tight time line. I would ask to buy 2 hours extra.

6 hours. They are going to be there from 3pm for our first look and getting ready to 9pm which is about an hour after cake cutting. We also have full rights to the pictures which we paid extra for.

    2 Photographers for 10 Hours

    2 Videographers for 9 Hours

Both the photographers and videographers left before the end of our reception, but they came early enough to record getting ready footage!

We have ours for 9, but that is only because we have an early ceremony. she will stay through cake cutting but not the end of the reception.
