I think I’ve tried on about 35 or so. Bought one, but have one more appointment before deciding if it’s “the one” or not.

I think about 10 at one place and 5-6 at another, so about 15 total.

I tried on about 6 or 7. Most of them my grandma pulled because she thought they were cute and I agreed. She ended up finding my perfect dress.

I can’t even give you an exact number of dresses that I tried on before I found “the one”, but I can tell you my little secret and maybe offer a bit of advice or should I say give you a really good example of what NOT to do! (We are only going to count the (4) main dresses, the stars of my wedding dress story, non of the in between).

Dress #1 was perfect in every way, well right up until the moment I put it on... yuck! Disappointed ☑️ Determined ☑️☑️ Determined to not only find my dress, but to have that feeling, you know the “I said Yes to the Dress” feeling!

Which leads us to Dress #2. So I knew someone who knows someone else who had a dress in my size, that had already been altered for a shorty (like me!), and it was what I had imagined “my dress” would look like. Oh let me tell ya... it was! It was stunning, it held the girls up (if you know what I mean😉), and I loved it until I didn’t!!🤭🤔🤬
Now with that said I do believe I may have purchased my dress a little to soon or something. Seriously it was like I never even purchased a dress at all. The dress looking never stopped, I made an appointment to go dress shopping at David’s Bridal (but cancelled it & then rescheduled it)... here comes Dress #3, but first I have to tell you that going Wedding Dress Shopping + Girls Night Out with your 2-Besties = 1-AMAZING GOOD TIME (FYI... You’re welcome!!). And 💥BAM💥 the last and final dress I tried on that night (dress #3). It wasn’t what I ever imagine my dress to be at all, but I thought to myself “go with one dress that is extremely opposite than what I’ve been looking and trying on so far” so I did. OMGosh!... No way!!... YES WAY!!! I had found “The One”. The angels from above were singing and for a moment all was right in my world... I had found “MY DREAM DRESS”... “The One”... and the feeling, the“I said yes to the dress feeling”, I even rang that damn 🔔! This is where the not so friendly or you could say “the not as tipsy as us store clerk who was sucking the fun out of life” not only busted my fun bubble, but she totally broke my 💔 when she said the price of the dress out loud (mind you I’ve already purchased a dress) and just couldn’t buy another... right!? So I left and then I looked high, I looked low, up, down, all around, and back again... not kidding!
And this would be how I found Dress #4. I was kinda like dress#3, but not really. I was just going to make it work though because it was closer than dress#2 (the first dress I bought). So I go to Charlotte, NC and buy the dress#4 and it’s is beautiful an looks amazing on me with maybe minor alterations required, BUT IT IS NOT MY DREAM DRESS... Damnit!!! I keep searching & searching and it finally paid off because I am one month away from our wedding date and “my dream dress” just arrived and I couldn’t be more excited and feeling extremely blessed!!!😊

Lesson(s) Learned: shop smart, don’t buy every dress you try on, wait for the “feeling” (You will know you’ve felt it when you feel it... It is real!!).

    Congrats to You and Yours!

I tried on about 15-20 dresses. I went to 3 different bridal stores and tried on different ones at a time. David’s Bridal was my last Store and the last dress I tried on. My soon to be sister in law found my dress.

I tried on probably 18 dresses before I found THE dress. But in order to be sure I tried one more after and that’s how I knew it was the one. It was only my second appointment and first day of shopping.

I went to 4 dress shops. At each shop, I tried on about 30 dresses. I wanted to get a feel of all the different styles. I went to 3 shops in one day. I finally narrowed my favorite 5 and finally I went back to the first shop and tried on my favorite. I showed her the dress from another dress shop and she said she had one that would put the two together. Once I put it on, I knew it was the one but it was too much and I felt bad. So I tried on the original and there wasn’t a spark like it was for the new one.
