How many dresses did you have to try on until you found "the one"?

I ordered my daughter and mine from SHEIN. First time I saw it. I love it. ❤️😍

I don’t know how many dresses I tried on to be honest, I went to about 3 different bridal salons. The last salon was breathtaking. Literally every dress I tried on felt like the one. Then my consultant keep accessorizing which made it even harder to choose, I was so stressed lol But eventually I went with the bling over a more subtle look and also added a Diamond white glitter skirt. Not sure how this is going to tie into my tropical wedding but hey 🤷🏽‍♀️

I tried on 5. Ended up getting the last one I tried on, which all my attending bridesmaids helped pick for me! They knew me well. I would've of gotten a different one, but it was too heavy and out of my price range

To be completely honest I ordered just about everything for my wedding from Amazon. I saved about 18 dresses in my wish list before I narrowed it down to 2. I ordered both of them and picked my favorite of the 2 then sent the other one back. They both fit perfectly and looked beautiful. Amazon has made wedding planning and shopping a wonderful experience. I can do it all from the comfort of my own home and everything I don't want I can return hassle free.

I tried on about 10 dresses and I said yes to the very first one I tried on! Thought it was a little naive of me at first, so I tried to keep an open mind as I tried on the others. But I knew the first was “the one”! I saw myself walking down that aisle as soon as I saw it on, and I never felt more beautiful!!

I tried on 9 dresses!! 4 at the first place. 3 at the second place. 2 at the last place. The 9th was the one.

I think mine was the eighth or ninth dress I tried on in total. I honestly don't remember exactly how many dresses in total there were! All I really remember is that I made three separate trips to David's Bridal, two of which were to the same store in Chicago, and on each trip, I tried on 3-4 dresses. I do know that I bought my dress on the third trip, and one of the other dresses I tried on that day was one that I'd previously tried on at my first trip.

Went to shops in one day (first day of dress shopping) and after trying on maybe like 8 or so. Found the one at the second shop. Which is just a small boutique where I live. My maid of honor started crying before I was even fully out of the dressing room.

I dont even know. I went to 3 bridal shops, mainly because my mom was flying in (I grew up in NY and now live in AL) and I am pretty picky already without factoring in other peoples opinions. I tried on probably 4 or 5 at the first and second and tried on 3 at the last one, I was very confident the 1st dress at the 3rd shop was the one but the lady helping said she had a couple others she wanted me to try that were close to the ones I liked at the other shops (she was very knowledgeable). I tried on at least 12 dresses.

I tried on five dresses and ended up getting the second one I tried on. The first one I tried on was the one I saw on the website and thought in my head it was going to be the dress but the consultant I had at BHLDN was amazing and anything I even took a second glance at was in the dressing room for me to try on. The first dress which I thought would be the dress was not flattering on me and I didn't like it at all!! I tried on the second dress and went to show my mom and my sister and I think we all knew. We tried on the rest of the dresses just to be sure but I knew the second one was THE ONE because I couldn't wait to put it back on!!!

I tried on 6, but it was the 3rd one I tried on. I just knew; no other dress came even close but I was worried because 1) it was “too easy”, 2) I had been just planning on browsing, and 3) it’s black and I was and still am terrified over telling my parents. Then it went on sale a few days afterwards so I figured that was the universe screaming at me to not waffle on it.



Now to make sure my parents don’t murder me They actually “had a talk” with me about not getting anything but a white dress (lots of flaming BS about purity and virginity and “what will people think”). I have yet to tell them I already found the dress and that they’re going to hate it!

I had my dress made by a friend who owns a dressmaking business abroad, so I sent all the measurements and requirements and didn't get to try it on until it was finished and shipped! It was perfect and seeing all the stages of it coming together was very special. It was also very cost effective as I got a couture experience without the price tag.

Since it was during the pandemic most shops were closed anyway and the likelyhood of it arriving on time would have been remote. As it stood, they made my really elaborate dress in just 3 weeks and it was about 5 weeks in total including shipping.

I went to 3 shops but probably tried on 6-10 dresses at each place before I said yes.

Maybe about 13. Came back to one that I felt most like a bride versus prom 😆
