How many chairs?

Carmella, on April 2, 2014 at 11:13 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

How many chairs are needed for the ceremony if I'm expecting about 50 people? I know most people don't sit next to someone they don't know, so they will leave a chair, so would 60 be enough? More? Less?

Eh, I don't think you should have to put lots of extra money into extra chairs for the ceremony, just so people can leave lots of seats open. For the ceremony, I'd maybe plan for one extra row of chairs on each side of the aisle.

I would say about 55 chairs. You don't need to have a lot of extra chairs. People can suck it up sitting next to each other for what I presume is less then an hour total. You do it when you fly.

I'd do 60. It leaves a few seats open in the back for latecomers to slink into.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm renting these bad boys so I can't afford too many extras. I figure I have seating for the reception for 103 people including us but 9-10 will be standing for the ceremony so I'm thinking of getting 90 chairs. My grandmother will be in a wheel chair and I'm thinking of putting the parents on some garden furniture we already have at the house.
