That’s us! We don’t have a wedding party but our friends are still throwing us bachelor- and bachelorette parties, and will be there when we are getting ready on the day.
As of thought now I have a total of 2. One maid of honor and one bridesmaid. My fiancé is struggling to find any groomsmen, so would it be weird if I added two more bridesmaids and had them stand on his side?
We have 4 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen. Do you think it's weird to have uneven numbers like that? Most weddings I've been to have the groomsmen escorting the bridesmaids down the aisle, so I think we're going to have the groomsmen standing up at the front with my fiance and then have the bridesmaids walk one by one.
With COVID, we knew money was going to be tight for everyone, so my fiance and I decided to budget the dresses/suits into our cost. Because of that, we decided to keep the wedding party as small as possible--3 Bridesmaids and 4 Groomsmen, all family with the exception of 1 bridesmaid (who is my best friend). That won't change by time our wedding happens in October, but it has made it SO much easier to only have family.
I have 7 because I couldn’t decide 🤷🏼♀️ I don’t think there’s such a thing as too few or too many. It’s your decision and your day. You fill it with the people you want there with whatever role you want them to play. For me the main reason I have so many is because my fiancé and I have been together a while and his brothers have gotten married and I’ve gained two sisters. If we hadn’t grown so close I would have 5.
I have 5 bridesmaids, 1 moh and 3 flower girls. My fiance has 5 groomsmen and 1 Best man. We tried keeping it pretty even so everyone has someone to walk with.
