How many accepted vs. decline for your wedding? Trying to work on guest list! :)

So our reception hall only holds 150 people at max. capacity, so I figured we would invite 130 at most and expect about 100 to show up which would be an ok number by me. I just wanted to know how many people everyone else invited and how many yes's vs. no's you all got? I feel like all of the people...

Who were you most surprised to respond with a "no" to your wedding? Anyone close you assumed would be there?

I didn't read replies but will say we are doing things as if everyone is going to show. Only because it really depends on your friends/family list. I have seen people have a large number not show, others where everyone did PLUS some, and so on. I will say right now we have 75 on the list I am only expecting about 60. BUT when figuring up space and such we are ranging it with the 75 amount just in case.

I would plan for 100% attendance, just in case. I've seen many horror stories were people planned assuming a certain percentage would not come.

Some examples: For my first wedding, I had 65 invited and 63 attend. For my friend's wedding, 150 invited, 140 attend. For my other friend's wedding, 150 invited, 100 attend. I also had a coworker with one of the horror stories and she had too many people RSVP yes and had to change her meal significantly (so the options people RSVPd for were not what they received).

We invited 112 (It was only supposed to be 90-100, but don't EVEN get me started on that).

So far we have 71 accepted, and 16 declined (THANK GOODNESS for the declines!!).

RSVP deadline was yesterday. But I'm giving them until Friday, and then we will be making phone calls/texting this weekend.

(I'm guessing we'll probably have about 80-85 guests, with is perfect for me)

Our church can hold 225 per the fire marshal, but I think that's 225 children -- no way can more than 200 adults fit. But because there were so many "well, we MUST invite XXX second cousin thrice removed" or whatever people on FH's side, our guest list is at 226. Supposedly about 30 "won't come but need to be invited" from FH's side, which has me in a mad panic. I hate inviting people and hoping they don't come, but apparently sending announcements is soooooo rude on the East coast, or so I'm told by his family... meanwhile, I axed everyone from my side who isn't a first cousin or closer and crossing my fingers that we get down below 200.

Of course, this is a reduction from 213 for his side alone (again, full of the must-invite-but-won't-come people) so I suppose I should be grateful.

Plan for 100% to show, but more than likely it won't be all 100%. I am sending out my invites on Thursday (super excited), so we will see how many we get. We have invited 135 people. I am hoping for 100 to 110, but I am fine if all 135 accept.
