Nothing have happen to my fiancé and I. Just curious to how long a postponement should be if something was to happen.

It would depend entirely on the injury, and how long before the wedding it happened? I mean, if you break your arm and it’s not a complex break, no surgery or anything, I wouldn’t postpone. But if you break your neck, that’s a different story. I did stop playing roller derby eight weeks before my wedding so I wasn’t risking having broken limbs on my wedding day!

Do you have a reason to be worried about this...? It seems like a strange thing to be concerned about.

Yeah this really depends on the circumstances. Though if you want to just be married, you don't have to wait at all. But I wouldn't worry about this.

Way too little information to answer this question.

I'd say it depends on the nature and location of the injury, as well as who the injured person is. If I had sprained my ankle a week before the wedding (and I'm honestly kind of surprised I didn't since I'm super accident-prone) I would have just grabbed a pair of crutches and gotten on with it. If my husband got a really bad back injury a few days before (as a plumber, that was a definite possibility), we would have postponed the big party until he was feeling up to it and eloped with just ourselves and our families on the original day. If the injured party was anyone other than the bride, groom, or officiant (without a backup option available), I'd say that the show must go on and it just sucks that person couldn't be there if the injury was serious enough.

Honestly, though, I wouldn't start worrying about stuff like that now. Or ever. If it happens, it happens and you deal with it then. No use in stressing over the "what ifs", especially if your wedding is over a year away.
