A friend of mine met her husband, got engaged and married in a matter of 6 months and it got me thinking how stressed I would be if I planned a wedding in the 2 1/2 month time frame that she did. My FH and I have been together for 5 1/2 years and when we get married we will have been engaged for 1 year and 4 months. How long is your engagement?
My FH and I will be together 6 years in August. We talked about getting married finally back in November but we haven’t “officially” announced our engagement cause he was waiting to get the perfect ring (and seriously it’s PERFECT) which will be in on Monday! However, we have been planning it and we are thinking May of 2019 so that means if we officially announce next week, that means a year and 4.5 month engagement
Mine will be a year and 45 days approx. lol It's really up to the couple. Some people want to get married fast and they have the money or they are planning something small. Others need to save to afford the wedding they desire due to a big crowd or they just don't want to rush.
My engagement is the same as yours, OP - 1 year and 4 months. I definitely could've planned it in a much shorter timeframe and been fine, but we stretched it to have a springtime wedding and to save money.
Dating over 7 years (7.5) Just engaged in December 2017. Planning for a Spring 2020 wedding (28 months about). We figured there is no rush, we want to enjoy just being engaged and save money for the big day!
