How long is your engagement?

We got engaged on July 13, 2017 (four days after our first anniversary) and will be getting married on October 6, 2018–15 month engagement.

My engagement will have been about 2 years long by the time the big day rolls around.

We got engaged on Sept 1st after dating for 11 months. We initially agreed to have a long engagement and were going to wait until August 2019 but just decided we didn't want to wait so we moved it up a year. Will make our engagement just shy of a year. I'm glad we aren't waiting because I don't think I could handle the anticipation.

Only 9 months. I'm Hindu and our priest gives us an auspicious wedding date - based off astrology. We got engaged in August, and got a wedding date in May. I had no idea when he was going to propose, so planning everything quickly has been interesting!

We've been dating for 4 years and are in our 30s, so I did not want a long engagement anyway. My BFF planned her wedding in less than 6 months, and it was great!

We we together a year when he proposed but have waited 9 years to marry by our date. We are marrying in our 10th anniversary. Now I finally set the date and only have 8 months to plan.

15 months for us

We dated for 15 months before getting engaged and then got married 2 months later.

I understand the feeling of "but you just met, and you're getting married?!". My brother knew his wife for 2 months before he proposed, and had a 2 month engagement; my BIL and his fiancé have been with each other around 5 months, and are getting married next month, and have a baby on the way. They are clearly still infatuated with each other 😊.

My husband, and I, had a relationship where we were together, but didn't acknowledged it for 3 years 😳. We would say "we are good friends" whenever anyone asked. Then in April 2015 we came to the conclusion of, yep, we are a couple. We were engaged for 2 years and 3 months; and my wedding was in October 2017.

Our engagement is one week shy of a year. Met in fall of 2015 but started dating late summer 2016 so our relationship would be about a year and half.

I so know someone who met her FH in October, engaged in November and got married in February so it does happen.

Our engagement is a year and 6 months. I have a friend that is having a 5 month engagement and I couldn't even imagine the stress!

We been together 2 years and 3mos but been engaged 1 year and 5 mos...when we get married we will be together 3 1/2 years but will be engaged 2 years and 8 mos...we was going to do it in 2018 but we decided to buy a house first then get married

He proposed 3/2/17 and we're getting married 6/30/19 so we will spend 2 years and 4 months engaged. I would have liked a much shorter engagement but it ended up being that a long engagement worked best for us.

We'll have been together about 3 years when we get married. Since we've made no real announcements yet, most people will think we've been engaged about 15 months of that time.
I'm incredibly lucky to have found this amazing weirdo who laughs so hard with me. I always knew that I wanted to get married, as opposed to being in a long term, committed relationship, but never felt a rush to do it. Now, all I want to do is marry this man.

Three years exactly! We have been together since high school (9 years ago)!

We were engaged 10 months after we met and were married 14 months after we met.

Been together for 5 years got engaged october 2017 wedding date September 2019...We paying for it ourself so tjsts why the gap

We were engaged for less than a month before we got married. He’s in the military, so we had to rush things but we’re still planning a “big wedding” in 2019. 😻 We ended up going home to see family for Christmas and got married at the courthouse with our family there.

Been together since late 2013, engaged November of 2016, and we're getting married next month. Girl enjoy it, it goes by so fast!
