I'm hoping for a semi short ceremony, the reception will be a fun small party.

For a standard ceremony with the main sections and no additional readings... about 15-20 minutes.

Our ceremony will be about 30-40 minutes, then an hour for a cocktail hour before the reception

Our ceremony will be less than 20 minutes and then we’ll start the cocktail hour. Outside of church weddings, I’ve never attended a ceremony that was longer than 30 minutes.

Ours is scheduled for 30 minutes. I’m having 1 reading, 1 song (performed by a BM), and a few other short extra items (Mother’s Rose Ceremony, etc)

I think ours will last about 30-40 minutes from the start of everyone walking down the isle to through the ceremony and walking back up afterwards. It all depends on how many people you have walking down and if you have a lot of readings or if it's a more traditional religious ceremony.

Our actual ceremony is going to be approx 20 minutes but we allotted 30 to five time for everyone coming in and leaving and the inevitable short delay of the start time as people get seated

Hello! My FH and I are trying to figure out different ways to make our ceremony longer than 15 minutes. What all are you doing during the ceremony to stretch the time? TIA!

15-20 minutes. We're not doing any special readings or music, besides what the officiant reads.

Our ceremony will be 20-30 mins. That's including processional and recessional. So the actual ceremony part will only be 15-20 mins.

    Hey Heather,
We will do a sand ceremony that will take up some time. Also our officiate will read a couple scriptures.
