How long do you give a vendor?

So how long do you give a vendor to respond to you before you move on to someone else?

Have you booked them already or just interviewing? No more than 5-7 business days

I think it depends on how you are trying to get in contact with them. If you are trying to contact them through WeddingWire then it might take longer because they might not check WeddingWire as much as their personal email or voicemail. I always recommend emailing them through their personal email rather than WeddingWire.

Personally, I'd give them up to a week to reply before I move on (if I haven't already booked them).

Well we told them we would move forward with them and he preferred to meet us in person to talk about the contract. Initially it was a little hard on our end to find a good date to meet due to some car troubles we had and we have communicated that but now that we have given a date and time to meet to see if it works for them...no response

Since Thursday and then I sent another on Friday after no repsonse to the 1st. He was really good with communicating with us at first it didn't take longer than 6 hours to hear from him. This time its kinda weird that we haven't heard from him after a day or 2

Definitely give him more time. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are popular wedding days so he could be busy. He might not always be able to reply within 6 hours and I think it is unrealistic to expect him to be able to that quickly every single time.

That is true, We were going to give him till the end of business on Monday. I am just trying not to wait too long as we have lost out on vendors that way waiting for communication for a vendor we've narrowed the selections down to, one moment they were free a week or two later BOOM 'no longer available for our date'

About three business days. Most people are more patient than me.
