How long did it take you to get pregnant? with irregular cycles

Just wondering if any of you have irregular cycles and how long did it take you to get pregnant? Did you chart Cm or Temp? I used to always have irregular cycles I have been off birth control for over a year. My cycles are starting to become more regular and I just started charting (hope I'm doing it right) I hope it doesn't take long Smiley sad any advice? Also does anyone know of a social network for pregnancy and children?

I'm never right with my cycle. Then I got preggo the night we got engaged lol. But I lost it in Feb.

However, we've kinda talked about just letting it happen to see if it will happen. I'm on day 4 of my period, an am going to buy an OPK just to see if I even ovulate.

We're not getting married til New Year's Eve, but I don't have my dress yet anyways. So I figure wth lol...why not?!

Babycenter is good, and I lived on medhelp.org during my pregnancy with my son.

We're not measuring/timing anything yet - we might do that after the wedding. We're still trying, though. I've had two miscarriages, I'm 35, I'm irregular... it's a bit difficult.

I have PCOS so I'm very irregular if I'm not on BC. It took 7 years to get my daughter but that's before I knew I had PCOS. Once I found out I was put on meds. Xh and I tried for 3 months got pregnant but miscarried. Then I got pregnant with my son 2 months later.

As far as social network.. I hung out on babycenter.com

This is something to talk to your doctor about, as everyone is different. They'll be able to help you know if you're charting properly, etc.

The Dr said everything is fine and that I'm normal and that it's normal to have irregular cycle and as I get older they will regulate. Usually before I only got my period 4x a yr but starting in February I get them every month but I never know when so it's a lot better then before, and I just started charting. I was thinking of buying clearblue fertility monitor if something doesn't happen soon. Although it is expensive. I was just curious how long it takes others.

Do you have a smart phone? Try the free app "P Tracker Lite." It uses your cycles to predict fertility. My friend used it before they TTC and she got pregnant the first time they tried (when it said she'd be fertile). She has irregular periods too. I'm not TTC yet, but I started using the app.

Mine are super irregular. I would get them and not see them for months. One time it took 8 months to get my period back. Super painful too. Took us two accidental tries to get pregnant. I lost the baby at 10 weeks. We haven't tried since.

Been TTC but nothing has happened over the year. Tried to use fertility monitor. After the wedding we plan on seeing a specialist.

When me and FH were trying for #2 I used ovulation prediction kits (opk's) that I got from walmart for $30. I used these for 3 or 4 months till I figured out what my body was doing when lol. I also tracked my period. I would make sure I noted the day it started and ended. During the non period days I would make notes in a journal I had if I had more than normal CM or cramping. This with the opk's helped me figure out when I was actually ovulating. I also stocked up on dollar store pregnancy tests and a few of the good EPT's. I used the dollar store ones because I knew I would be testing a lot. When we decided we were going to start ttc FH started taking a multivitamin and I started taking prenantal. You want to get your body baby ready now :-)

Good luck hun and as hard as it try not to stress about it!

I use the same app as DesertBride. (P Tracker Lite is free, but I paid for the full version- it allows you to track a lot more than just start and end dates.) I have a looong, semi-inconsistent cycle, but after using the app a few months it predicted my periods within 1-2 days based on averages. I'm pregnant now, and know exactly when I conceived due to the app (on our first try).

    Good Luck!

3 months the first time, 2 months the third. (The second one, which ended up miscarrying, happened accidentally, in spite of diaphragm, jelly, full-time breastfeeding, and not even having sex anywhere near the right time of month.)

I have PCOS and i haven't gotten pregnant in the past 5 years. (unprotected sex with the same man of course) but my doctor hopes when we are ready that fertility treatments will help. I STRONGLY recommend you see a doctor to get help with this!!!!
