How long before Wedding should bachelorette be?

Theresa, on October 16, 2017 at 10:35 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

Hi guys! I’m getting married may 11. I’m the first of my group of friends and family so I’m not really sure what needs to be done in the weeks before the wedding. Is a month before like the beginning of April too close to the Wedding to go away for my bachelorette? Any advice would be helpful thanks !!!!

It should be whenever it is planned for you.

Anytime I planned a bach party it was a few weeks before the actual wedding. I think my BM's are planning mine a month before due to a holiday mixed in there.

We are planning march, since April is a busy month for me and MOH. I should add I'm not planning my Bach, MOH and FMIL and BMs are, but we agreed March would be best.

I planned one 5 months before the wedding as the destination was too hot in the summer months and the wedding was in September. We did the Bach party end of May

Your bachelorette party should be whenever the host plans it for you

There is no set in stone timeline. The only guideline would be *not* the day prior to the wedding.

Hello! My BP said that they are planning mine sometime in April (the wedding is the end of May). This is because doing it in May would be an inconvenience as finals are early/mid May (which the party would get in the way of studying for all of us). I hope that helps Smiley smile

I had two other friends who got married and they both had their bachelorette party the weekend before their wedding.

My sisters (2 sister and SIL) are planning mine VERY early- February for an October wedding. It also coincides with 3 of our birthdays, and it involves 2 of us flying across the country to see the other two. It's a long weekend, which works for the 2 of us that need to travel!

My other two BMs, along with my local sister, have said they will plan one for the end of the summer :] Bicoastal wedding party has translated to 2 parties

OP, my sisters asked me when I could take work off, and I told them the weekend I would like to take off, and they agreed! I also have to have my vacation time in very early

Just had mine this past weekend- it was 26 days from the wedding. My MOH asked for dates that worked for me, and then chose from there.

My BMs came together and planned for mine to be two months before my wedding. It was convenient for them and they were able to throw a fun party well within their agreed upon budget.

Mine is next weekend. Due to the Holidays everyone is busy and my girls couldn't afford to travel so close to the wedding (we each live in a different state), so my girls planned for October!
