How long are you waiting to have kids after marriage?

We're thinking we'll start TTC around April 2019. That will let me be at my job for 2 "years", (really more like 3, but for purposes of promotions and raises..) before I need to take maternity leave.

We have no intention of having kids.

2-3 years before trying. Unfortunately women have a short window after 30 before getting pregnant becomes difficult. If not, I'd wait 5 years for career and financial reasons

We will be waiting One year ! We want to travel first

We are in our early 20s so the plan is to wait a year or so. If it happens before okay and if it happens later okay lol

I'm not waiting !! Will try to get pregnant a couple months before the wedding I will be almost 33 , FH is a bit older and don't have kids and I have a 13 yrs girl

My FH has 2 kids already.. but I'm ready for at least one of my own so we want one right away. Plus my mom and MIL is ready for more babies!!

We are going to start trying right away but we're 33 and ready. We've also been together 11 years.

My birth control prescription runs out at the end of August so I just won't refill. I will be 32 in October and FH is 36 and I'm already worried we will struggle to get pregnant because of my age.

3-4 years after, unless baby fever kicks in

We're waiting forever. I'd like to adopt all the dogs though.

We got married in 2015 after 5 years together and are just now starting TTC this summer 2 years later! I'm 29, he's 31.

We will be 30 getting married but neither of us are ready just yet, I'm only finished law school but very aware that time is ticking! Maybe 1-2 years hopefully

Were 23 and I'm not keen on having biological children for a variety of reasons. We're not even going to think about adopting for at least 10 years, but the best of adopting is that there's no age risk!

Probably 3-4 years. We both want some time to just be a couple and travel and live life together before adding in a baby. We both definitely want kids eventually, though!

We're waiting a year before we start TTC. I'm 30 and H is 47, and we want at least two kids. But I have a medical condition (bipolar disorder) and I have to get off the meds I'm on before we can have kids. My doctor has suggested a 6-month med taper and then living for 6 months without the meds while I work in other forms of treatment (therapy, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, etc). We're going on our honeymoon on our one-year anniversary and will start TTC then.

I'll be 26, he'll be about to turn 28 when we get married. We feel ready sometimes, and we both have some baby fever, but want to 1) buy a house and 2) figure out how we can finagle me being a SAHM or always having one of us home with the baby, before we start trying.

My FH's exact words to me were "we are getting pregnant on the honeymoon". I'm excited about it but also a little nervous. He is super ready for kids, he will be 30 when we get married and I will be 25.

We want to TTC right away. The first week we met 3.5 years ago we talked about how much we both wanted kids!

My sister said she tried for almost a year with my nephew (but got pregnant with my niece immediately) and to get off BC even a month before the wedding to regulate my cycle, but I'm afraid of getting irregular periods and acne for the wedding, so waiting until afterwards!
