Okay my fellow summer brides. Since my wedding is planned for July the sun sets around 9pm. Our venue has a barn with gorgeous sunset views and lights hanging from the ceiling, plus a fire pit outside. So I was originally planning the ceremony to start at 3, but now I think it would be gorgeous to have the sunset and part of the reception at night time. Mostly for pictures as well. The guests are only both of our large families and just a few friends. I don't see them staying a really long time for the reception. Is 5pm too late for a ceremony so the reception could be later? What do you ladies have planned?

My ceremony will start at 5:30. Cocktail hour from 6-7 then the reception from 7-11. The sun is supposed to set just after 6pm so we're aiming to capture that in the pics.

Keep in mind any pictures you wanted after the ceremony may be too dark if the ceremony is later
