You can definitely start now and add as you go! I started around May and my wedding is in March, you can also start your website if you will be having one.

You can start it now, but I recommend waiting. I made mine early just because, and it was more trouble than it was worth. Products were constantly being discontinued and I had to keep updating. No one bought anything til right before my shower and most gifts were bought right before my wedding.

That's what I did! I started mine a little early and didn't publish it until I was completely finished my wedding website. That's when I made it public.

You can start it now and then publish it later. There are a lot of things that become discontinued, which is what I am experiencing on Bed Bath & Beyond.

You totally start it now...unless your fiancé is like mine and keeps buying things that I had on the registry. I’ve had to take so many things off in the past few months because he bought them right then and there 🤦🏼‍♀️

My wedding is November 2021, and I totally started mine! I don't mind tweeking it as time goes along. But things are fresh in my head now, so I use it like a reference. I put things I know I'll still want, and change as I need to. It's an exciting time, especially when your getting so much planning done in advance. I say join the club and go for it! Smiley smile

I started making mine roughly 9 months before my wedding, but I didn't publish it until shower invites went out.

I started mine about 10 months out, just so that it was a leisurely process and I could add things as I thought of them (usually when cooking and thinking 'this would be much easier if I had x').

As many PPs mentioned, if you do start early, definitely be prepared for things to get discontinued and go in/out of stock frequently.

I started mine like right after we got engaged. A whole 18 months before haha. I was so excited and I still add and take stuff off almost daily. It’s just fun for me to browse and to add stuff that I find! Just make sure you update it about 1-2 months before your wedding. We have been getting gifts sent to our house for a month already and our wedding isn’t for another 2 months.

I knew I wanted to register at amazon and then pick another actual store people could go into and get something if they weren’t tech savvy, but we started our amazon one and aren’t getting married until sept 2021

I know some guests appreciate when a couple has a registry very earlier on. There are usually a couple family members and friends who are eager to buy you something to celebrate the excitement (like for an engagement shower, bridal shower, etc) and a registry is helpful so they know they are getting you something useful! Even having a small one prepared in case someone asks may be a good idea. Hope this helps!
