How far in advance did you book your officiant ??

So I'm finally done paying for the venue.. Catering almost done, Dj done! Photographer booked.. Now was wondering if is too early to book an officiant ..

    I booked ours right after we put the deposit down on our venue. She was highly recommended by the venue coordinator so I wanted to act fast.

    We booked our venue first(roughly 14 months out), but it was probably closer to 12 months out that we booked our officiant because we struggled to find a church/officiant who would marry us.

    I've booked mine already!! I think they are such an important part of the wedding that i didn't want to get stuck choosing someone I didn't like or didn't know.

    Not trying to be snarky, but I would think the officiant is directly after the venue.

    You're not really married until someone officiates it, so everything else should be a bonus/afterthought.

    I booked mine before the venue. We knew what church and who we wanted to officiate so we decided having that reserved was more important than the venue.

    I did mine before a date was set. Also was FHs pastor and the one providing pre marital counseling so he was a very early step

    I booked mine back in April. The officiant is the most important piece once I booked my venue.

    The officiant was part of the venue package. Which was nice but she has a bit of an attitude or at least it comes off that way via email.
