How far away should your hotel be from your venue

Stephanie , on January 29, 2018 at 6:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hi,
I am blocking rooms for my wedding. The hotel I like is 20-25 minutes away from the church we are getting married at and venue. I do not know if my guest will like that it is so far away. The hotel is located in a nice location that we could take pictures at before the wedding starts. The hotel near the church and venue are not as nice. Should I get the block? Please help.

You could always block some rooms off in the one hotel and let people know if they’re not comfortable with being that far away, there are other options closer.

The hotels we blocked rooms at are about 20-25 minutes from our venue because it's in the middle of nowhere. We're going to provide transportation to and from, which is something you may want to look into.

Like the PP said it would be a good idea to provide transportation. Depending on your budget you could so anything from charter buses to school buses.
