How early is too early for getting wedding hair done?

Michelle, on May 6, 2022 at 11:51 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 8
My first look is at 1:30p, the ceremony is at 2:30p.
My junior bridesmaid decided at the last minute she wanted hair styling in addition to my future MIL and SIL. The salon (which is a 5 minute drive to the venue) can accommodate us all but if we start at 8am. I always planned on going first because I will be staying at a hotel right next to the salon.

So my question is, is having hair done by 9a too early for my timeline??

No it is not too early at all. I am starting mine the night before as I am getting some pretty elaborate extensions and finishing at 1:00 on the next day. My reception hair will be different from ceremony hair so that will take some time but I have an incredible glam squad so it should be cool.

What I’ve heard is that normally the bride goes last for hair and makeup so that hers is the freshest, but it’s totally up to you how you choose to order it!

Thank you to everyone who has replied! ❤️
I should have added that my makeup appointment is at 11:30am. So only my hair is the concern. MU should be okay!

We started hair (at the salon) at 9:00 for a 6pm ceremony, so you should be good starting at 8 for a 2:30 ceremony

Our ceremony started at 2:30, no first look. My salon said 8am start time and I convinced them to start a tad earlier, lol. It still looked great when the ceremony started.

I am having hair done at 9am for a 6pm ceremony. I did my hair trial and it lived up to the test. I even took a nap and it still looked good. She used a lot of hairspray. If you get someone who specializes in weddings/what you want done... they will make sure you're good to go.

My hair stylist is curling and setting my hair first, then doing my girls and then putting my hair up last so it is the freshest. Not sure if this pertains to your hairstyle, but that might be an option.
