How does Vista Print.com Work?

Anonymous, on March 21, 2011 at 8:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

Im shopping around for Save The Date Cards

I fell in love with Save the Date cards from Minted.com

but they are way over my budget so i found cute ones on Vistaprint.com but i have no idea how this website works!?

Do you print out the cards yourself or do they mail them to you

also how do you know what paper is used?

You customize your order, pay with CC, they print and send.

Once you choose your design, you type in what you want using their template, you can add photos, extra text, etc. Just like typing in Word. Once you are done designing your cards, you save, and place your order. As you go through the steps it will ask you do you want Matte or Glossy finish, etc. They will print up everything and send them to you. I use them all the time for everything....to the point that I get almost everything I order from them FREE. All my save the date cards were FREE. After you use them, you'll start getting emails of them advertising all their free stuff. Love that site.

    They print.

You can choose the quality of paper from their 4 options: (free basic cardstock, premium matte, glossy, or recycled)

Also you can order a free sampler of all of their products and get an idea how they look. I used them and they are great esp for the price.

If you have time... they will send you free samples if you want to see and feel them.

Learn how to use the Advance Edit option when making your invites.

100 free postcards costs $8 when you add in S&H.

Many of the postcards and invites come in different colors... once you pick one check to see if there is a more colors option.

    Have Fun!

I order from VP all the time. They have really good off set digital printing. That means that the print is flat (not raised or engraved). You can upload photos or use their graphics for your announcements, invites, escort cards, sign in posters.

You should have some design skills. You log on, click on what you want. They have "templates". You choose which one you want, fill in your information and order. Very often they give you free gifts - you just pay for the shipping. Here's something I designed from scratch (a menu for a couple's wedding).

We are very nontraditional and used postcards from vistaprint for our invitations. Since our wedding is family only and our reception is family and friends we needed 2 different invitations. I ordered 2 different sets of 100 postcards both free paying expedited shipping since my wedding date got moved up 6 months. In total 200 invites cost me $30. They are nice thick recycled paper. Glossy on the front. Blank on the back. We originally ordered STD cards as well for our original date.

Vistaprint is not the ONLY affordable option. If you need assistance, I would be happy to help. I offer custom digital invitations that are very affordable. I could give you an estimate on creating something similar to the ones you want from Minted.
