How do you go about resturant ceremonies?

Madison, on August 6, 2019 at 7:53 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
Me and my fiance are not really informed on how to go about music, decoration, overall how to adjust space for a ceremony in general.

Would anyone have some advice or tips about this?

It would be greatly appreciated!

We had our ceremony at the hotel we stayed in. We had to pay $600 to rent the ballroom. You can look around and see what fits your budget.

Is the restaurant multiple rooms? My husband and I got married in a restaurant and we had our ceremony on the restaurants patio, went inside for cocktail hour and then restaurant staff set up tables to do dinner in the same space as the ceremony was.

    Hey Madison!

Have you already booked the restaurant for your wedding? What type of space do you have? Are there multiple rooms or an outdoor area that you can utilize also?

Do you want live music for your ceremony played by musicians, or are you looking to play a curated playlist? I’m sure the restaurant will have some sort of sound system for playing music throughout the area.

Has this restaurant held a wedding before? Perhaps they have photos of how previous ceremonies were set up to give you inspiration.

My stepsister had her wedding in a restaurant banquet room. It was a single space, and they arranged the tables on either side of a dance area. The guests stayed seated at their tables during the ceremony (or were invited to stand on the sides where no one's view was blocked), and the bride processed across the dance area as an aisle. It totally worked, and the head table made a lovely "altar" area. It really all depends on the restaurant you're having it at, how much space you have, and what they'll let you do. A lot of restaurants won't let you put things on the walls, or may restrict other decorations. Finding the place you like first will be a huge first step in figuring out how to do what you like.
