How do you answer the dreaded generic “how’s the planning going?” questions?

I just say, "expensive, but going great!", which is pretty much the truth. LOL

I just say that I’m done and everyone looks at me like I’m crazy 😜

I usually say "Great! Thanks for asking!" then if they seem interested further, I discuss the last thing we did or the upcoming thing we have. As of right now, the most recent thing we did was book our caterer and upcoming is bakery tastings.

I usually say "Great! We are done with everything!" and walk away....

My go to answer, what I answer with every single time is always "oh ya know, it's going!" It's just too much to get into to tell them how it's actually going, so I try to give a basic answer even though it really gets old saying the same thing!

I've been asked how the wedding is going so many times that I just have to give a generic answer! I just says "its going!" and a polite smile. I especially hate being asked that question by people that are not invited. I try to get out of those conversations as quick as possible!

I usually say, it's good, thank you. Then if they follow up with specific questions, I'll answer. I feel like people probably feel obligated to ask that but probably dont care, so I keep it super simple unless they ask specifics.

I say it's going smoothly because it is and leave it at that.
One of my cousins has literally asked me what can he do to help/pay for each time I've seen him. Idk and I don't like asking for help or money so this is one of my hardest questions right now.

"It's going" and then if they press for more I usually just go 'Oh you know, planning, and invitations, and shopping and etc" and just start listing random things about a wedding that I need. But I never give details and the person eventually realizes it is going to be a really boring conversation. Haha

I tell them I've got all vendors booked and now we are relaxing and enjoying each other for awhile, which is basically the truth.

When people ask right now (and with the holidays I’m seeing a lot of people and they’re all asking) I answer honestly and say I’m taking a break until the holidays are over. No one really presses and asks more questions. For the most part, they’re being polite but don’t really want to hear the nitty gritty!

My case is different. No one really seems to care enough to ask.. I mostly get the ones who tell me to just elope and that I don't "need" a wedding.
